DHHS Worksite Wellness

Site: http://www.dhhs.state.nh.us/DHHS/NHP/worksite.htm

The NH Nutrition & Health Promotion division of the Department of Health and Human Services provides a wealth of free information for developing and implementing worksite wellness programs. The toolkit they developed is evidence-based (meaning research has been conducted demonstrating that the tools offered work to increase physical activity and health in the workplace). The toolkit offers information on why worksite wellness is important, and how to encourage worksite wellness through healthier vending machine and cafeteria choices, worksite exercise options (including reminders to use the stairs), and breastfeeding programs in the workplace. In addition, you can find information on nutrition and healthy adult lifestyles.

Value for employers

This website offers free access to the worksite wellness toolkit and the opportunity to download free materials, information on healthier vending machine choices, and resources for more involved worksite wellness programs such as a smoking cessation program.
