Health Care Prevention
As healthcare costs continue to rise for both employers and employees, both groups are looking for ways to improve health. A worksite wellness program can be as simple as providing area walking routes to offering smoking cessation programs and employee fitness competitions.
For employers, the benefits include enhanced employee productivity, lower health care costs, decreased rates of illness and injuries, and reduced employee absenteeism.
For employees, the benefits include lower levels of stress, increase well-being, self-image and self-esteem, improved physical fitness, increased stamina, and potential weight reduction.
