NH QualityCare

Site: http://www.nhqualitycare.org/

Released in 2005
Analysis based on PATIENT RECORD data

NHQualityCare was developed and released by the NH Foundation for Healthy Communities and the Northeast Health Care Quality Foundation in 2004. The website is designed to provide information about processes that are expected to improve patient health outcomes for some of the most common causes of hospitalization: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical infection prevention.

Value for employers

NHQualityCare presents comparative data for all hospitals in a table format that allows for easy side-by-side comparison of hospitals, on many quality measures.

In addition, NHQualityCare provides a calculation for the composite score for each facility. The composite score represents that percent of patients that receive all the recommended care that they should have received given the existing conditions. In addition, data about the number of times that the hospital has performed the procedure or treated the condition is also presented by hospital.

Data are available for hospital by condition/measures, or for each condition by hospital.
