Web-based State Snapshots based on National Healthcare Quality Report
State Snapshots provides measures of quality of care in NH (and nationwide), based on the National Healthcare Quality Report which draws on multiple sources of data to index and rank states against other states and over time. The dashboard presentations allow for a snapshot view of quality of care in the state at this time. Summary measures include overall healthcare quality, quality of preventive, acute and chronic care; quality in several settings of care; and quality in treatment of five clinical conditions.
Value for employers
Employers can track how the state is performing on many of these measures to have a sense for progress in certain areas of healthcare quality. As the private sector becomes even more engaged, tools like the State Snapshots will be useful n meetings with stakeholders to creatively solve for improving healthcare quality while building a lower-cost system of healthcare.
